Social Media Roundup FALL FOOD 1 - What You Missed!
Well, Fall has finally arrived!
And, as I write this post, we have our first taste of it this weekend here at the Deep South beaches. It's about time!
In case this is your first social media roundup on Deep South Dish allow me to take a moment here to explain! While I have an email alert that goes out whenever I post new recipes to the website, in case you didn't know, social media is where I have shared daily roundups for a lot of the past recipes.
Unfortunately, although I do continue to share there on a daily basis, it seems that quite a few folks have left social media these days and frankly, not everyone that signs up for the page even see the posts.
Because of that, I thought that I'd publish here on the website an occasional summary of some of the recipes that I have shared on social media recently, for those who primarily follow the website via email alerts. This will give you a chance to revisit some of the previous content from Deep South Dish that you may have missed, or even forgotten about!

Here's what you may have missed on social media recently. If you'd like to bypass social media and visit any of these recipes direct on my website, just tap or click on the title or the photo to check it out on Deep South Dish. I hope you enjoy this feature!
Be sure to create your own board and save my FALL Social Media Roundups on Pinterest for some Fall centered meal inspiration later!
I'm still also sharing a lot of football favorites on social media too of course, so be sure to check out that collection on Pinterest too, to save to your own boards.

Little fried hand pies made with fresh fruit or dried, your choice of pastry and either pan fried, deep fried or baked. No matter how you prepare them, they are a true Southern Classic!
Russet potatoes, slow cooked with onion, celery and chicken broth and finished with cream, prepared in your slow cooker.
'Old School Baked Chicken and Rice
Bone-in, skin-on, chicken thighs and legs, or a whole chicken, cut up, seasoned and baked with cream soup and rice for a flavorful, tender baked chicken.
'Old Fashioned Pot Roast'
This basic and old-fashioned pot roast has been my favorite way to cook a chuck roast since I first started cooking. Even though you can do it in an oven or crockpot, there is something about that roast slow simmering on the top of the stove that just makes me feel all cozy.
'Spicy Sweet Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops'
Bone-in pork chops, skillet seared and brushed with a spicy syrup and balsamic glaze.
'Hearty Slow Cooker Beef Stew'
A creamy beef stew with potatoes, onion, carrot and celery and cooked in the slow cooker. Here it is served over rice, the way I grew up with stew served in the Deep South tradition.
